Is There a Higher Power?
Yes.
Atheists would have you believe otherwise. They believe that life and matter evolved from nothing; that everything happens by chance; survival of the fittest; etc.
But I invite you to stop and look straight ahead. You see a computer screen that was created by a human being. How & why?
How? By a mind, contained within a bodily organ, so delicate and intricate that science has yet to tap into its full potential. This organ directs every function of our body. We cannot lift our arm without our brain, we know when to provide sustenance to our body when a signal tells us that our stomach is empty. The intricacy of how our brain interacts with our body is amazing and mind-blowing when you think about it. Did that just develop from nothing? Even if we truly did develop from a one-celled “thing,” that thing had some kind of intelligence to know how to survive (or that it needed to survive) in its surroundings.
Why? Because we are exercising our brains and developing them and creating things that make our existence easier. Do inventors truly just pull ideas out of nothing? Or could it be that the idea or thought was already there, it just wasn’t able to be produced yet…not until our brain had developed enough to pull it out.
Look out your window.
Did you know that we human beings could not survive on this planet without the plants you see around you? We need the oxygen they produce in order to be able to breathe. Did we, the one-celled ameba, create the plants in order to survive or did we adapt to them? If we adapted to them, what were they doing here in the first place?
What was their purpose? While you’re looking out your window, what is the purpose for each thing you see? Then ask yourself, what is your purpose for being here?
Science believes it has an answer for everything. But it truly doesn’t, it doesn’t have the answer to the question of how this world and the beings in it began. Do you think this whole planet and humans were just a freak accident?
My bible tells me “For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.” (Romans 1.20)
The complexities you see in nature, the way everything works together…is dependant on each other, these complexities testify to a higher power, a creator.
There is, indeed, a higher power. I believe that higher power to be God, the one true God you find within the pages of the bible.
You owe it to yourself and those you love to seek and know the truth. Seek with an open heart, know without doubt the truth you believe, and may God bless you abundantly.
