The ever growing grocery bill take 2

Hello friends!

I've been sensing a change in my life and, clearly, it's been having quite the effect on me lately. With that change, I am envisioning a change in the direction of this blog. You'll recall that I really had no clear subject matter when I started this blog. It was just life, in general.

With everything that has been going on recently, my "priorities" they are a changin'. You'll see things shift slowly as I allow God to take control and finally just sit back to enjoy the ride.

BUT, before I do, I have a couple of little housekeeping posts that I want to finish up. This is the first one.

Remember my post from a while back about this great meal planning service? I signed up for a 3 month plan with great intentions. I always have great intentions. Yeah, my great intentions just weren't enough for me to succeed.

It's a great concept and I can see it saving money if you stick to it...closely.  But my little family is finicky and many of the recipes just didn't pass the picky eater approval test.  I found that I was substituting 3-4 of the meals each week, which ended up causing work for me.  So it really wasn't worth my time or money (it only cost $15 for 3 months, not expensive).

For families with adventurous eaters, I think it would be great.  It just didn't fit my particular family, and that's ok. I'll stick with my tried and true meal planning that consists of "what do you want for supper?" with the occasional planned meal, usually on Sunday.

God bless!
