Sharing and Caring Friday!

When I was first saved, I began to read the teachings of Charles Stanley.  He has such a way with words and he could make a simple-minded person like me understand God's words.

I grew up in the Catholic church.  I thought I knew all there was to know about God.  And I have to tell you, I wasn't all too impressed.  Some day I'll have to share with you my whole testimony.  (Ugh, which means you'll know what kind of life I used to live....can I say "ugh" again?)  But that won't be today.

Now where was I?  Oh yes, Dr. Stanley.  He really has been a blessing to me and a great teacher, so I wanted to share him with you.  One of the ways to do that is to share one of his daily devotions.

Today's devotion is titled "Strength for the Lonely."  We all feel lonely at times, feeling like it's us against the world.  But that's not true.  God is with us and strengthening us every day....if we'll just get out of His way and let Him!

Check out the link below that will take you to the devotional and offer you a way to get Dr. Stanley's devotionals delivered to your very own mailbox.

Here's a teaser, the scripture for today's devotion is:

You whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, And called from its remotest parts And said to you, 'You are My servant, I have chosen you and not rejected you. 'Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.' "Behold, all those who are angered at you will be shamed and dishonored; Those who contend with you will be as nothing and will perish.  (Isaiah 41.9-11)
